how his team successfully uses The
Pacific Institute’s education to make a
great dealership even greater.

are now number one in the State of
California and fifth in the United
States. Before, we were selling an
average of 2,000 cars a year, which is a
big store even today.
Four
years later, with The Pacific Institute,
we retailed one-on-one over 5,500 units,
new and used.

A couple of salesmen, who had left
about six months before we started the
program, came back to us after working
at another organization.
One of them walked up to me and said,
‘What is going on here? I just had my
interview. What happened to you guys?
The atmosphere is so different.
Everybody is so positive and everyone
wants to help one another.
What happened?’ I told him we went
through the TPI program and he said,
‘When do I get to go?’

I must admit at first we were a
little skeptical of another feel good,
touchy feely, have nothing to do with
reality course.
Your lessons were nothing like those
other courses or motivational seminars.
What you gave us was an “owner’s manual”
to our own minds.
For the first time we could take
control of our thoughts, visions and
future. By applying these principles to
our organization we became better
managers.
Well, I don ’t want to give away the
whole course. But what I can say is that
your teachings took a very successful
dealership and made it more successful
...How successful?
Since TPI, our parts and service
business is growing three times faster
than the zone and is up 53% over last
year ’s numbers.
Our weekly goal of hitting 500 labor
hours/week by the end of the year was
shattered by February, we then shot for
600 hr/wk ...done by June and now we
have consistently hit 700 hrs/wk.
Our new goal is 1000 hrs/wk by the
end of the year. Our certified used cars
are up 146% over last years numbers.
Our goal was to go from the top ten
to the top five by the end of the year.
Well ...you guessed it. We hit that goal
by January.
For the past two months we were
number one in the zone and are in place
for the entire year.
Finally and most importantly is that
our net profit is on track to triple
from last year, which by the way was our
best year.
Would we recommend The Pacific Institute
...Absolutely.
Is it expensive? From where your
prospective clients are looking at it
now, it is. But a year from now they
will swear it ’s the best investment
they made in themselves and their
people.
